We are pleased to announce the launch of the new Ecosystems Knowledge Network: a resource for anyone wanting to share knowledge or learn about the practical benefits of an ecosystems approach. The Network is funded by Defra and being developed by an independent partnership involving the NERC Centre for Ecology & Hydrology, the Natural Capital Initiative, Fabis Consulting, the University of Exeter (Centre for Rural Policy Research) and Countryscape.
The Ecosystems Knowledge Network is free to join and aims to assist organisations and groups in using an ecosystems approach to help build sustainable communities. It will draw upon the experience of pioneering projects from across the UK and elsewhere to explore new ways of managing the environment, promoting the sustainable use of natural resources and taking better account of people's values.
The Network website and other communications are currently being developed. In the meantime, for further information or to register your interest in joining, please visit the Ecosystems Knowledge Network. You can also download a Press Release announcing the Network launch.
