Countryside Survey is a world-leading study of the natural resources of the UK’s countryside. It provides information to policymakers and others about gradual changes in the countryside over time. The 2007 Survey, which reported in 2008, was the fifth to be carried out since 1978.
Countryscape was initially contracted to revitalise the project’s brand identity and develop a detailed communications strategy. This included the development of brand guidelines and document templates, the production of publicity and display materials, the design of a new website and expert input at stakeholder meetings. A further contract was subsequently awarded to Countryscape to support Countryside Survey communications for the full duration of the project, which extended the company's involvement to media relations and publication of the final reports.
This work involved producing communications in bi-lingual format (English/Welsh and English/Scottish Gaelic).
