The Wetland Vision Project is a partnership consisting of the Royal Society for the
Protection of Birds (RSPB), English Heritage, the Environment Agency, Natural England and The Wildlife Trusts. Its purpose is to set out a 50-year vision for freshwater wetlands in England.
Countryscape worked closely with the RSPB to design and produce the final Technical Document, which provides additional detail to accompany the main Vision Document. The aim of this work was to avoid the stereotypically “dull and dusty” presentation of technical information and instead produce something capable of engaging wider audiences beyond the scientific community. This was achieved through use of a more informal, ‘magazine-style’ layout incorporating high quality photographs, some of which were sourced from Countryscape’s own image library.
As well as graphic design, Countryscape also assisted with the final proofing and editing of the report.
The resulting 40-page document was praised by the Wetland Vision partnership and helped to publicise the results of this important project.
