The Little Green Roofs project works with local communities to create green roofs on small, uninhabited, communal buildings and structures around Manchester. These green roofs help to provide ‘hotspots’ for greenery and biodiversity, and help to reduce the impact of local climate change.
Countryscape developed the project logo, emphasising the importance of green roofs in providing habitats for wildlife, as well as the practical and ‘hands-on’ nature of the project (as indicated by the typeface). We also produced a copy of the logo as a large-format stencil, for use in spray-painting the logo onto buildings involved in the project.
