Science Strategy

Countryscape designed and produced the CEH Science Strategy (entitled ‘Integrated Science for Our Changing World’), which summarises the organisation's programme of work between 2005-2010 and sets the scope for future research.

The strategy was designed to publicise the work of CEH to audiences beyond the scientific community, including politicians, policy-makers and the general public. It uses high quality photographs and illustrations (sourced/produced by Countryscape), together with a clean, contemporary design to help communicate the value of cutting-edge science in an accessible and relevant format - aiming to stand apart from more traditional scientific publiciations.

Countryscape was also reponsible for proof-reading the document and managing the final print onto Forest Stewardship Council (FSC)-certified paper stock, using vegetable oil-based ink.

A series of display panels were also produced for use at the Science Strategy launch event, providing a summary of the strategy's main themes.

The design and layout of the strategy was well received by CEH, to the extent that it became a benchmark for redeveloping the organisation's brand identity.
