The Malvern Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB) Partnership is dedicated to conserving and enhancing the beauty of this nationally protected area. In line with the agreed Management Plan for the AONB a draft Landscape Strategy has been produced. The Landscape Strategy summarises the special qualities of different landscapes in the AONB and contains guidelines to ensure that these qualities are conserved and enhanced by future landscape change.
Once finalised, it is anticipated that the Landscape Strategy will be used to inform the nature of new development and change in the AONB. Significant effort has gone towards making sure that the landscape guidelines reflect the many diverse and special elements of the AONB landscape, including its history and culture, its biodiversity and its role in supporting well-being.
